School Board Approves New STEM Program
In a unanimous decision last night, the Quincy School Board approved funding for an expanded STEM education program across all district schools. The $2.5 million initiative will bring new computer labs, robotics equipment, and specialized teachers to elementary, middle, and high schools starting next fall. "This investment in our children's future is essential," said Superintendent Dr. Patricia Hayes. "STEM skills are increasingly important in today's workforce, and we want our students to be prepared." The program will also include partnerships with local businesses for mentorship opportunities and internships for high school students.
