Panthers Win Regional Championship

The Quincy Panthers high school basketball team secured a stunning 72-68 victory against the Lincoln Lions in last night's regional championship game at the Civic Center. Senior guard Marcus Thompson led the charge with 28 points, including the game-winning three-pointer with just 12 seconds remaining. The crowd of over 2,000 fans erupted as the final buzzer sounded. "These kids have worked so hard all season," said Head Coach Williams. "They deserve every bit of this success." The Panthers will now advance to the state tournament in Springfield next month.
